Worth special mention is his popular Grilled Tomato Soup, a blend of grilled Roma tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, seasoning and cream.Other popular dishes include Pine Nut Crusted Beef Tenderloin. Local produce is used seasonally, including maple syrup, fresh seasonal strawberries, and wild rice. His Wild Rice Pudding pays homeage to wild rice, after which Rice Lake was named. Once harvested every fall for its wild rice by Indians and settlers alike, due to the raising of the lake's water, wild rice is a little rare, especially since the blackbirds get them before humans can. |
